Combining Statistical, Displacement and Damage Analyses to Study Slow-Moving Landslides Interacting with Roads: Two Case Studies in Southern Italy

Slow-moving landslides are widespread natural hazards that can affect social and economic activities, causing damage to structures infrastructures. This paper aims at proposing a procedure analyze road induced by slow-moving based on the joint use of landslide susceptibility maps, road-damage database developed using Google Street View images ground-displacement measurements derived from interferometric processing satellite SAR images. The is applied municipalities Vaglio Basilicata Trivigno in region (southern Italy) following matrix-based approach. First, analysis carried out municipal scale, data inventories thematic information available over entire municipalities. Then, index, class movement level calculated for territorial units corresponding corridors under investigation. Finally, networks divided into stretches, each one characterized specific risk (or attention required) aggregation provided performed analyses. results highlight importance integrating all these different approaches obtaining quantitative spatial temporal behavior affecting networks.
